A Real Party

Today is a very special day in our family. Want to know why?
Because it's Royce's Half Birthday!

Half birthdays are a big deal to me. Why, you ask? Well, because I have never and never will have one. I've never seen a February 31st yet! I suppose I could figure out my true half birthday by counting half the days in the year, but that's not nearly as much fun.

But Royce has a half birthday, and so we are going to celebrate it. And you are all invited. It's this Saturday at 7:00. If that's too late, please come on over earlier. And for those of you who live far away, I will be sure to post plenty of pictures so you can feel included in the fun. Because it is going to be a good time. (Not quite sure how we're going to fit more than 8 people in our tiny apartment or where they're going to sit, but that's ok!)

If you want details on the party, e-mail me because I really don't think I want to publish my address online for the whole world to see. You can e-mail Royce too if you don't have my e-mail address.

And don't forget to wish Royce a Happy Half Birthday!

Pity Party

Do you ever have days where you just want to feel sorry for yourself? When you know you shouldn't, because for once you're not in a totally unreasonable state of mind? Today is one of those days. I stayed home from work sick. I probably could have made it through, but I didn't feel like proving to the world that I could get through anything. I just wanted to stay home and sleep in late and do things slowly and read a book and try and let my body get better. I don't think it worked. I still feel sick. But maybe if I go to bed REALLY early my body will finally kick out whatever it is that's making me tired, stuffy, sneezy, and achy!

To top it off, I had to get four cavities filled at the dentist. There is nothing I hate more in the world than going to the dentist. NOTHING! When I picked Royce up from school he asked me how it went, and I immediately started crying. Not because it still hurt, but the emotional trauma just came spilling out of me.

And can I just conclude that I love my hubby. He is oh-so-patient with me. And he's done a darn good job of feeling sorry for me. Thanks Love!
